Recording Non Qualifying Scores

From 1st January 2017 England Golf require all players to return all scores to their Home Club in Non-Qualifying Competitions - scores should be returned in all Singles, Am-Am, 4BBB and team competitions.  Scores will not directly affect a player’s handicap but may be used as ‘supporting evidence’ of performance during a handicap review.

England Golf are enforcing Clauses 4.5b and 8.12 of the CONGU Unified Handicapping System:
-  Clause 4.5b allows the Union to require a player to return to the Home Club information regarding scores in Non-Qualifying Competitions as provided by Clause 8.12.
-  Clause 8.12 states that the player must provide to his Home Club information regarding scores in Non-qualifying Competitions.

England Golf has produced an information document regarding these changes and templates for clubs to use; one for recording Non Qualifying scores and a second for Open organisers to report scores to clubs. These documents can be downloaded as a pdf file by clicking on thefollowing link:-  Non Qualifying Scores

Clubs have been asked to let their players know that they now have a responsibility to report away scores in all AM/AM, 4BBB and team competitions as from 1st January 2017. Players who do not return these scores will be held accountable. Scores from outside the CONGU handicapping system, Texas Scrambles and Greensome competitions do not have to be reported. The player's responsibilty in recording these non qualifying scores are included in the following PDF file:- Player's Responsibility Non Qulaifying Scores

The Handicap Secretary at your club should be able to answer any questions you may have.  The following "Q & A" document may also help with any queries:-   Q&A Non Qualifying Scores
